Saints Team Report (Yahoo! Sports)

With only six games remaining in the season, the 5-5 Saints know they have to make a move and string some wins together to have even the slightest chance at making the playoffs.

They're in last place in the NFC South, one game behind the third-place Atlanta Falcons (6-4).

The Saints also know their standing in the division will sort itself out as they have games with Carolina, Tampa Bay and Atlanta over the final five weeks of the season—starting with a Nov. 30 matchup with Tampa.

Yet, the Saints know none of that will matter unless they can win back-to-back games for the first time this season Monday night when they face the Green Bay Packers (5-5) in the Superdome.

Playing with some confidence against the Packers after a business-like 30-20 defeat...

These 2008 season images provided by the NFL show New Orleans Saints football player from left; Charles Grant, Deuce McAllister and Will Smith. The lawyer for three Saints players facing suspension says none of them took steroids. The three were accused of taking a banned diurectic and went before an NFL appeals hearing Tuesday Nov. 18, 2008. David Cornwell represents running back Deuce McAllister and defensive linemen Will Smith and Charles Grant.

The lawyer for three New Orleans Saints players facing suspension said Wednesday the NFL's independent drug adminstrator acknowledged he did not inform NFL players that the supplement StarCaps contained a banned diuretic. Saints breeze past Chiefs for first road win (AP)

Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Dwayne Bowe (82) pulls in a touchdown catch over New Orleans Saints cornerback Usama Young (28) to get the Chiefs within 7 points early in the fourth quarter of an NFL football game in Kansas City, Mo., Sunday, Nov. 16, 2008. The Saints won 30-20.

Like a slick and experienced salesman, Drew Brees knows how to close. Kansas City, desperate for a win, scored in the fourth quarter to get within seven points and had the home crowd raising a ruckus. But Brees coolly took the NFL's top-ranked offense on a 12-play drive that ate 6 minutes and 27 seconds off the clock and was capped by Garrett Hartley's 35-yard field goal.

Bush among Saints' inactives (AP)
After hoping all week to get Reggie Bush back in the lineup, the New Orleans Saints put the running back on the inactive list Sunday. The Saints and Kansas City Chiefs both had several starters inactive. With Bush missing his third game with a knee injury, he was joined by fullback Mike Karney and center Jonathan Goodwin, who also had problems with knees.
