The deep freeze that blanketed Green Bay in the days that followed the Packers' 37-20 loss to the New York Giants in the NFC divisional playoffs Jan. 15 served as a harsh reminder about the warm and inviting season that is in the past.
"This is one of those (numb) feelings," tight end Jermichael Finley said. "This feeling isn't going to go away for a long time."
The Packers were supposed to be practicing when the daytime temperatures dipped into the teens and even the single digits at the end of this week, getting ready to host the NFC Championship on Sunday.
Instead, the players spent the early part of the week doing housecleaning in their Lambeau Field locker room, meeting with their position coaches and having exit interviews with head coach Mike McCarthy.
