In the past two games, the Falcons have been victimized by defensive lapses in the fourth quarter.
They needed two interceptions inside the red zone and a 95-yard interception return to lock down a victory against New Orleans.
Against Denver, they could not come up with a big play while the Broncos drove 83 yards for the game-winning touchdown.
The Falcons gave up a 47-yard pass play on third-and-7 from the Denver 20. That set the stage for Jay Cutler's 9-yard touchdown pass to tight end Daniel Graham, who worked his way free and found a hole in the Falcons' zone.
"Our defense is better than that," Falcons defensive end John Abraham. "We just gave up too much."
Abraham said the defense let the offense down.
