It took to Super Bowl week to do it, but Philadelphia Eagles coach Andy Reid finally addressed the media and fans following the team's disappointing 8-8 season.
"I thought it was important to take a thorough look at things, in particular starting with myself and the job that I did this year, then the coaching staff, the players, the direction we might decide to go in free agency and begin on the draft," Reid said of waiting to discuss the season.
The thorough look included considering hiring Steve Spagnuolo to work with the Eagles' defense. Reid wouldn't say he'd hire Spagnuolo as defensive coordinator, however, which would have meant the dismissal of Juan Castillo.
