Tony Dungy has heard all the talk about the struggles of the San Diego Chargers this season.

He's hears about how Chargers running back LaDainian Tomlinson hasn't been playing well or that the San Diego defense isn't as good without injured outside linebacker Shawne Merriman in the lineup.

Yes, Dungy has heard it all. But he doesn't believe it. Not for a second.

"(San Diego) is a team that is really talented. And I'm sure a lot of people say it, but (the Chargers are) better than their 4-6 record when you look at the big-play people they have and the special teams and the defense," the Colts coach said this week.

"We're going to have our hands full, as we always do when we play them.

Half of Colts defensive starters miss practice (AP)
Six defensive starters missed Wednesday's practice for the Indianapolis Colts. Among those not participating were safety Bob Sanders, last season's defensive player of the year, defensive end Robert Mathis and middle linebacker Gary Brackett, the defensive captain. Coach Tony Dungy was uncertain about Sanders' status for Sunday's game at San Diego.

Manning finds old form in Colts' winning streak (AP)
Peyton Manning watches the last three games and sees progress. Not perfection, but at least he and the Colts are beginning to play like their old selves. Manning is throwing more touchdowns, fewer interceptions, avoiding sacks and winning games with his masterful play calling. He's spreading the ball around, opening up running lanes with passes and, yes, he's finally in sync with the receivers.
